JOYO JF-38 9V DC Roll Boost Guitar Effect Pedal

Product Information

The Joyo JF-38 Roll Boost is a great clean boost pedal. Whether you use it in front of the amp or in the effects loop is up to you. When it is used in the effects loop the Roll Boost is capable of giving you a massive volume boost, making it perfect as a solo boost.

When used in the effects loop it will give you a purely clean volume boost. If you use the Roll Boost in front of the amp but at the end of your effects chain then you will still get a volume boost but it won't be as large and it will also add overdrive and sustain to your tone. If you use it before another pedal then it will overdrive that pedal more i:e: if you put it before an overdrive pedal then it will really boost the overdrive pedal giving you even more overdrive and harmonics.

You could also use the Roll Boost as a volume balancing pedal between two guitars where one is quieter than the other. For example, guitars with single coils are sometimes quieter than guitars with Humbuckers. You could set the roll boost so that when you turn it on it makes the single coil guitar the same volume as the humbucker guitar.

I bought two of these.I'm using one in front of the amp and other one in effect loop. Loving it so much!In front it gives really nice overdrive, but in loop I've set it up on 9 o'clock (just a bit) so it can boost my signal.Recommended!

Guide - How to power your guitar effects and pedal board
There are a number of ways to power your guitar effects and choosing which method you use can make a difference to your board. Making sure you have the right supply will ensure if they come on, prevent them from getting damaged, or become noisy.  BatteriesPedals are made of electronics, so the power you use ensures that they stay on when you need them. Whilst the 1st series, 2nd series of JOYO pedals and DrJ pedals all can be powered with a 9v battery, this is not the best option to power a board, it is primarily convenient. Your pedal board will only sound as good as your cheape..
What Guitar Effects should you use for David Gilmour - Pink Floyd tone
We are often asked what pedals you should use to create some of the tones of David Gilmour/Pink Floyd. As with any tone chasing request, I always try and break down the elements of the sound that you hear. Each track is different, different pedals are used in different parts and of course having Davids fingers and guitar skills certainly helped him achieve his own sound. I do not think any one pedal could achieve it, to create the tones of David Gilmour unless you go for a multieffects unit and spend some time dialling it in and experimenting. There are c..

What Battery should I use in my guitar effect pedal.
Many guitar effect pedals can be powered by a battery which can reduce the number of wires in your pedalboard and make it more convenient to travel around with. The JOYO guitar effect pedals in Series 1, series 2 and Dr.J pedals can all be powered by a battery for convenience and often cited as a reason for buying. There are downsides to using batteries over a steady decent power supply, you have no idea what power you have left, if you use the wrong type of battery you do not get a satisfactory performance, finally we have an environmental impact to consider.   ..
