JOYO JF-10 Dynamic Compressor Guitar Effect Pedal

Product Information:

The JOYO Dynamic Compressor guitar pedal is representative of a classic Ross with very low noise. You can easily find your ideal tone.

With the three controls of Sustain, Attack & Level you can easily dial in your perfect levels of compression. Whether you just need it to keep the volumes even on clean passages and to stop any notes overpowering others or whether you want to use it after your overdrive pedals to give you near endless sustain, it's up to you. You could even use it as a solo boost at the very end of your chain by setting the Sustain & Attack controls to taste and then setting the Level control so it's louder when it's turned on.

A lot of players don't think they'll need a compressor or when they first use one don't think it's actually doing anything (I was one of those). Once you realise when and where to use a compressor then it becomes an essential part of your tone. It means you can control when and how much sustain you can have on certain passages. A compressor allows you to play delicately picked passages with masses of effects and you'll hear every note perfectly without any of them disappearing into the ether or overpowering the others.

However you choose to use your compressor you'll be pleased with the JF-10, it is an excellent value compressor, worth every penny.

True Bypass design to minimise tone loss.

Material: Aluminium alloy .

The Joyo Dynamics Compressor is a great compressor, low noise, and doesn't colour your tone, great budget compressor that works well in the studio and live

This has been the only compressor on my board for years now. Use it when I use some guitars and need to keep them 'under control' a bit. Full adjustment of settings all desirable settings even on quite a small pedal and true bypass, so doesn't colour your tone!

I have the 'green' compressor pedal that has been on the market for quite a while now. I use it with my Vintage Bass guitar when I play with my band 'Tunky Pig'. What can I say, it does exactly what a compressor should and more. The 'dynamic' boost is instantly noticable, because we play classic rock, (Surprise, surprise...lol.) Zepplin, AC/DC, and Hawkwind amongst them, I need a variety of 'sounds and tones' from clean/smooth right through to gritty/dirt. I like a quite 'steep' attack and this pedal does it better than any other pedal I have ever used, including my old Ashdown Dual, and a Keeley, (That I borrowed of a friend) When pushing the 'sustain' up, I can sometimes make my notes ring for longer than our lead guitarist on his Gibson going through his Marshall and a Vox valve amplifier, and his pedal board which is just a little smaller than a battleship...lol. I wouldn't swap it for any other compressor out there on the market regardles of cost and plan to add some more JOYO pedals to add to the versatility of my sound...(Not too many, no-one likes to see a bass player with a pedal board...lol... I will be looking at a flanger and an envelope filter) I couldn't recommend this pedal enough, I get complimented on the tone all the time, had it for over 3 years and never had the slightest bit of trouble with it, and, to be honest, I don't expect to. Great job JOYO, looking forward to owning more. As for a star rating, you don't say how many stars it is out of. If it was out of five stars, I would be giving it a five without doubt.

Guide - How to power your guitar effects and pedal board
There are a number of ways to power your guitar effects and choosing which method you use can make a difference to your board. Making sure you have the right supply will ensure if they come on, prevent them from getting damaged, or become noisy.  BatteriesPedals are made of electronics, so the power you use ensures that they stay on when you need them. Whilst the 1st series, 2nd series of JOYO pedals and DrJ pedals all can be powered with a 9v battery, this is not the best option to power a board, it is primarily convenient. Your pedal board will only sound as good as your cheape..
What Guitar Effects should you use for David Gilmour - Pink Floyd tone
We are often asked what pedals you should use to create some of the tones of David Gilmour/Pink Floyd. As with any tone chasing request, I always try and break down the elements of the sound that you hear. Each track is different, different pedals are used in different parts and of course having Davids fingers and guitar skills certainly helped him achieve his own sound. I do not think any one pedal could achieve it, to create the tones of David Gilmour unless you go for a multieffects unit and spend some time dialling it in and experimenting. There are c..

What Battery should I use in my guitar effect pedal.
Many guitar effect pedals can be powered by a battery which can reduce the number of wires in your pedalboard and make it more convenient to travel around with. The JOYO guitar effect pedals in Series 1, series 2 and Dr.J pedals can all be powered by a battery for convenience and often cited as a reason for buying. There are downsides to using batteries over a steady decent power supply, you have no idea what power you have left, if you use the wrong type of battery you do not get a satisfactory performance, finally we have an environmental impact to consider.   ..
