JOYO JF-09 Tremolo Guitar Effect Pedal

The JOYO tremolo guitar pedal achieves the vintage tremolo or surf warble sound with ease.  The controls are easy to understand and the features are similar to your favourite guitar amp's layout with a similar circuit design, too.

On the left, a rate knob controls how quickly the volume swells fluctuate, while the right depth knob controls overall dynamics.

The Tremolo guitar effect pedal from JOYO also has as important extra for your live playing or recording needs: fortunate for your rhythm sound, the led on/off indicator pulses with the signal modulation rate, it is a great way to set the rate speed before you start to play.

The guitar effect pedal from JOYO features True bypass and with solid 1/4-inch connectors make this pedal professional and reliable when it comes to signal integrity, great modulation tone and will last a long time.

The sound is understated when the depth is low and somewhere between magical and psychedelic to a choppy stutter when it’s all the way up.  Perfect for adding some emotion to your guitar tone.

Rhythm accuracy is increased by the led function, allowing this pedal to perform in a variety of situations, coupled with a delay, behind a chorus, an overdrive or distrotion whatever else you can throw at it The JOYO tremolo sound can really add dimension and variety to your sound.

  • Optical Tremolo
  • Intensity and Rate Controls
  • True Bypass
  • Sturdy aluminium alloy case
  • Uses 9V battery or standard JOYO style adapter (not supplied)

Bought one of these as I wanted to have tremolo in only one or two songs. Great sound, very versatile, the only downside being there is no level control and the higher the intensity is set the greater in variation of volume and it can seem to dip in volume compared to your clean sound

I had space on my board for one more pedal and though I have a tremolo effect on one of my amps was never happy with it. Felt it could add something as an effect on some Dire Straits and Blues I have been working on. I have been very satisfied with this. Have been able to dial in a subtle level of tremolo which adds a shimmer to those more laid back songs. Maybe could have done with an on pedal volume control but being picky. When I'm looking for a new effect or pedal Joyo is now my first port of call. I have been using a lot of Boss and had tried Behringer as lower cost options for some effects with mixed results (hissy and dulling of tone). Joyo gives much better quality at a great price. Have a couple more on my wish list!

Guide - How to power your guitar effects and pedal board
There are a number of ways to power your guitar effects and choosing which method you use can make a difference to your board. Making sure you have the right supply will ensure if they come on, prevent them from getting damaged, or become noisy.  BatteriesPedals are made of electronics, so the power you use ensures that they stay on when you need them. Whilst the 1st series, 2nd series of JOYO pedals and DrJ pedals all can be powered with a 9v battery, this is not the best option to power a board, it is primarily convenient. Your pedal board will only sound as good as your cheape..
What Guitar Effects should you use for David Gilmour - Pink Floyd tone
We are often asked what pedals you should use to create some of the tones of David Gilmour/Pink Floyd. As with any tone chasing request, I always try and break down the elements of the sound that you hear. Each track is different, different pedals are used in different parts and of course having Davids fingers and guitar skills certainly helped him achieve his own sound. I do not think any one pedal could achieve it, to create the tones of David Gilmour unless you go for a multieffects unit and spend some time dialling it in and experimenting. There are c..

What Battery should I use in my guitar effect pedal.
Many guitar effect pedals can be powered by a battery which can reduce the number of wires in your pedalboard and make it more convenient to travel around with. The JOYO guitar effect pedals in Series 1, series 2 and Dr.J pedals can all be powered by a battery for convenience and often cited as a reason for buying. There are downsides to using batteries over a steady decent power supply, you have no idea what power you have left, if you use the wrong type of battery you do not get a satisfactory performance, finally we have an environmental impact to consider.   ..
